Edible Book Day 2021

Coming up on the 1st of April is this year’s Edible Book Day. Hopefully this time it will be in person! Our kids were pretty disappointed that last year had to be online.

Last year, our family produced a crocodile (The Enormous Crocodile), a log house (Little House on the Prairie), a yellow digger (The Little Yellow Digger) and a cookie tree (Cookie Monster and the Cookie Tree). In 2019 we had a spider (Charlotte’s Web) and a boat (The Floating Restaurant).

It’s a really fun event where kids get to use their creativity, and best of all (in their opinion) eat cake!

The event details for Auckland are as follows:

Thursday 1st April
10am-12pm
1 Waipuna Rd, Mt Wellington (Mt Wellington Community Church hall)
opposite Countdown, Mt Wellington

COST:
AHE Members $2pp, $5 family
Non-members $3pp, $7 family

However there will also be an online event for those who can’t make it to an in-person version – look up @EdibleBookDayNZ on Facebook.

Time to start thinking about what book to represent, and how to make it edible!
