Laundry Upgrade

Being a fairly large family of 7, we do a lot of washing. While it’s not my favourite activity, it is a necessary and constant part of life. We moved house last year and the existing laundry in our new house left a lot to be desired. It was situated in the garage (with concrete floors) and consisted of a sink, a stretch of wall with an outlet for a dryer (the outlet was an upgrade at least!) and.. nothing else. Actually it did have a pull out ironing board thing that I could never see myself using since the garage is either boiling hot or freezing cold, so that’s now gone. To be fair, one improvement on our previous house was the lighting situation – there is a nice big window right above that lets in plenty of natural light so I can actually see whether there are any stains.

All this to say how excited I was to get an upgrade to that area of the house! The laundry is still in the garage, but there is now some nice flooring, two hanging cabinets, a bench over the dryer and washing machine and a set of drawers – including one big enough to house the washing baskets. All the cleaning and pest control products now have a home, along with all the washing paraphernalia such as pegs, wash bags, stain removers etc – amazing. Doing laundry will never be the same!
