Firelight Foundation Conference

The Firelight Foundation is hosting another homeschooling conference this year!

As a result of Covid-19 the 2020 version will be a little different. It won’t feature an international speaker, but homeschoolers around the country will get to hear from some of our own experienced kiwi homeschooling mums!

Stephanie Walmsley, Marian Lane, Cassandra Shepherd and Natalie Donaldson will be travelling around the country with a view to sharing their homeschooling wisdom and encouraging others on the home education journey. Have a look at their website to see if there’ll be one near you!

Last year we heard from Julie Bogart of Brave Writer, and the year before featured Andrew Pudewa from the Institute for Excellence in Writing. I found both conferences really encouraging, filled with advice and inspiration. These events are sort of like ‘professional development’ for us as homeschooling parents, and also provide a great forum to connect with others in the same boat. Sign up now!
