There are two events coming up in the Auckland Home Educators homeschooling calendar:

AHE History Fair

The AHE History Fair is happening a bit later this year. Here is the link for registration. This is a great opportunity for your kids to dig deeper into a particular history topic and present their findings for a wider audience. Our kids have always enjoyed being a part of this, especially when they’ve dressed up for the occasion! There is a fair bit of work involved to get their projects ready, but it has always felt well worth the effort.

When: Thursday 27th October 2022

Where: Mount Albert War Memorial Hall, 773 New North Road, Mount Albert

Time: 10:30 – 14:30

Cost: $10 per child (maximum $25 per family) for AHE members, $20 per child non-member

Date to register by: Friday 21st October

AHE Art Exhibition

Following on from the History Fair is the AHE Art Exhibition. The theme this year is the environment. Our kids have participated in this twice, and found it an enjoyable experience on both occasions. It’s an opportunity for them to get creative and show off their handiwork!

When: Monday 21st November

Where: Te Tuhi Art Gallery, Pakuranga
